Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently addressed rumors suggesting that she had borrowed a staggering Rs 25 crore from a Telugu superstar for her myositis treatment. Taking to Instagram, she firmly denied the reports and emphasized the importance of responsible discussion around medical conditions. Myositis is an immunity disorder that Samantha revealed she was suffering from in 2022, prompting her to step back from work to focus on her treatment.
Expressing her concern over the misinformation, Samantha humorously remarked, “25 crores to treat myositis!? Someone got you a pretty bad deal. I am glad I am only spending the smallest fraction of that. And, I don’t think I was paid in marbles for all the work I’ve done in my career. So, I can easily take care of myself. Thank you.” She urged everyone to be cautious when sharing information about health conditions, given that myositis is a condition that affects thousands of people.
Apart from addressing the rumors, Samantha shared glimpses of her vacation in Bali, after spending some time at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She was recently seen in the movie Shaakuntalam and Yashoda before that. Additionally, Samantha has wrapped up shooting for the Indian leg of the film Citadel, in collaboration with filmmakers Raj and DK. Fans can look forward to her upcoming film, Kushi, directed by Siva Nirvana, which features her alongside Vijay Deverakonda as a married couple set against the picturesque backdrop of Kashmir. The movie is slated to hit theaters on September 1.
